MAOT Audio Upgrades for Model 3 Highland
International Range | System Design and Product Guide
MAOT offers Enhanced and Flagship audio systems for selected Model 3 Highland vehicles with factory seven- or nine-speaker audio. This range is intended for markets outside mainland China.
Start with what you want to hear differently: more bass support, a stronger rear-seat listening experience, or a change in vocal and instrumental character. MAOT brings speakers, subwoofers, DSP amplification and vehicle-specific tuning together as a complete system.
Choose the upgrade that suits your listening
Enhanced keeps your factory speakers and adds bass and rear fill. Flagship also replaces the factory speakers, with tuning matched to the new configuration. Enhanced is a complete system in its own right; a speaker upgrade is available later if you want it.
Check your vehicle before ordering
Fitment includes confirmed-compatible seven-speaker variants such as Model 3 Standard, plus supported nine-speaker variants. Trim names and audio specifications vary by market and model year. Have your local MAOT partner check the sales market, model year, trim and factory audio system. The vehicle name or speaker count alone does not establish compatibility.
The range
MT-003 | Model 3 Enhanced
MT-003F | Model 3 Flagship
MT-004 | Flagship Speaker Upgrade for this generation of Enhanced systems
The Model 3 system uses two vehicle-specific subwoofer drivers. Each package has tuning matched to the vehicle and installed speaker configuration.
MT-003 Enhanced | Keep your factory speakers
Retain the factory seven or nine speakers and add two vehicle-specific subwoofer drivers, two slim full-range rear-fill speakers and a DSP amplifier. Tuning is matched to the vehicle and its original audio configuration.
The subwoofer system adds low-frequency support, while the rear-fill speakers add output behind the listeners. Tuning also addresses the factory rear-door speakers, front-to-rear level balance and the way the speaker groups work together.
Two protective grilles are supplied for the rear-fill speakers. These are installation accessories, not additional speakers.
Choose Enhanced if you are broadly happy with the factory vocals and instruments and mainly want more bass support and improved rear-seat listening. There is no need to replace the remaining factory speakers later unless your preferences change.
MT-003F Flagship | Upgrade the factory speakers too
Flagship combines two vehicle-specific subwoofer drivers, two slim full-range rear-fill speakers and a DSP amplifier with a nine-speaker replacement set: two separate tweeters, five coaxial speakers and two front-door woofers. It includes tuning for the Flagship configuration.
Factory nine-speaker vehicles use all nine replacement speakers. Factory seven-speaker vehicles use the five coaxial speakers and two front-door woofers. Their front-door sail panels have no separate tweeter mounting positions, so the two tweeters supplied in the kit are not installed.
In both factory configurations, the three dashboard midrange speakers and two rear-door midrange speakers are replaced by coaxial units with integrated tweeters. These add high-frequency reproduction at those locations to support vocal and instrumental detail for front and rear occupants.
The rear-fill speakers also come with two protective grilles. The grilles are not included in the speaker count.
The supplied speaker set is the same for both factory configurations. The number installed and the tuning used depend on the vehicle.
MT-004 | Upgrade from Enhanced to Flagship
Owners of a Model 3 fitted with this generation of MT-003 Enhanced can add the MT-004 speaker upgrade once vehicle and hardware compatibility have been confirmed.
MT-004 contains two separate tweeters, five coaxial speakers and two front-door woofers. All nine are installed in compatible factory nine-speaker vehicles. Seven-speaker vehicles use seven of them; the two supplied separate tweeters are not installed.
Keep the two vehicle-specific subwoofer drivers, rear-fill speakers and DSP amplifier already fitted to your vehicle. The speaker upgrade includes updated tuning for the new configuration. Systems from earlier generations require a separate compatibility check.
Upgrading in stages involves another installation and tuning session. Ask your local MAOT partner for the complete labour and tuning cost before choosing this route.
Everyday control and installation
Wireless sound adjustment is available through a compatible iPhone app. Before purchase, confirm regional app availability, supported languages and iOS requirements with your local MAOT partner.
Compatibility with the original Tesla sound controls, and how those controls affect the added equipment, depends on the vehicle and installation. Have the installer demonstrate the available functions at handover.
Installation uses a dedicated connector harness, mounting hardware and a separate fuse. Agree equipment locations, space requirements and any trim work before installation. At handover, check wiring, secure mounting, output from each speaker and relevant vehicle functions such as alert sounds, then listen to the system before signing off.
Talk to your local MAOT partner
Provide the sales market, model year, trim and factory audio details for your Model 3, and explain what you would most like to change about the sound. Your local partner can confirm fitment, package contents, installation requirements, the full cost and local after-sales arrangements before you order.
